Subzero ice maker repair, in short
An ice maker diagnosis follows the water path: the inlet valve, the fill tube, the filter, the supply line and the drain, then the module and the Sub-Zero freezer temperature. You receive a written estimate, genuine Sub Zero parts and a 90-day warranty. If the whole cabinet is warm, begin with Subzero refrigerator repair.

No ice is being produced
The inlet valve may have failed or the fill tube may be frozen shut. A bad thermistor or control can also halt the cycle, and the Sub-Zero freezer temperature is read as well, since a warm freezer melts ice before it is harvested.
Ice that is slow, small or cloudy
Weak water pressure, a familiar issue in tall co-op and condo buildings, and a filter past its date both thin out the cubes and dull the taste. A fresh filter and a cleaned coil bring output back on most units.
Leaks and overflow
Water on the floor or cubes fused in the bin suggest a split fill tube, a loose supply fitting, a blocked drain or a door seal fault. Frost around the Sub Zero ice maker hints at a defrost heater that is not firing.
Codes and noise
A service light, a code or a racket during the ice cycle leads back to the module, the valve or a fan motor on built-in and panel-ready Subzero units, and the repair is covered for 90 days.

Subzero ice maker repair questions
What makes a Sub-Zero stop producing ice?
Commonly the water inlet valve, a frozen fill tube, a faulty module or a Sub Zero freezer that has warmed. The Subzero technician pinpoints which during diagnosis and quotes in writing before ordering anything.
Where is the water coming from under my ice maker?
Typically a split fill tube, a loose supply fitting, a blocked drain or a tired door gasket. We fix it with genuine Sub-Zero parts and look at the filter during the same visit.
When should the Sub Zero filter be changed?
When the filter light comes on, or as the Subzero model manual says. A late change gives slow, cloudy or off-tasting ice, and we will swap it during any Sub-Zero ice maker visit if you ask.
What customers say
Ice maker finally works after two other companies couldn't figure it out. Only knock is the arrival window was 11-3 and he showed up at 2:50, but he called ahead so I wasn't stuck waiting blind. Panel-ready Sub-Zero in case that helps anyone.
Dispenser had been dead for a year and I just lived with it. Frozen supply line. Thawed it, insulated it, showed me the fix. Twenty minutes. 48 inch Sub-Zero, for reference.
Sub-Zero ice maker had been dumping half-formed cubes for months. Water inlet valve. Fixed, tested, full cubes ever since.
If you have a Sub-Zero with the usual ice maker trouble, these are the people. He'd clearly done a hundred of them and knew the exact fix.
Been using bottled water for two years because the dispenser died. Filter housing was cracked. Twenty minute fix and I feel silly for waiting.
Half the block uses them. Now I understand why. Ice maker rebuilt in an hour. This was on my built-in Sub-Zero.
