Not cooling or zones drifting
A wine unit that warms usually has a dusty condenser coil, a dead thermostat or thermistor, a worn fan motor or, less often, a compressor fault. On a dual-zone unit, one zone drifting while the other holds points to that zone's sensor or board.
Condensation and leaks
Moisture on the glass or a leak from the drain threatens labels and corks. The Sub-Zero door gasket is checked first, then the drain.
Display, controls and noise
A blank display, a code or a dead touch control is traced to the board. Vibration or noise from a fan or the Sub Zero compressor is damped before it disturbs sediment in the bottles.

Subzero wine cooler repair questions
What is behind a Sub-Zero wine unit that runs warm?
Usually a coil caked with dust, a thermostat or fan motor that has died, or now and then the Sub Zero compressor. A Subzero technician diagnoses it and puts the estimate in writing before touching anything.
Why does one zone sit warmer than the other?
The two zones are controlled separately, so a thermistor, damper or board fault can throw off only one. We test them one after the other in your home.
Can you work on wine storage built into cabinetry?
Yes. Wine columns, undercounter wine units and panel-ready integrated cabinets are repaired with genuine Sub-Zero parts, same day where possible, under a 90-day warranty.

My building requires COIs and a specific service elevator window. They handled all the paperwork with management directly. Unit is an integrated Sub-Zero column.
Submitted the form on the website Sunday night, got a call Monday at 8am, tech there by 1pm. It's a Sub-Zero 690.
Checked the whole system even after finding the fault, to make sure nothing else was on its way out. Nothing was, but I appreciated the check.
